Academic Internship Program at Ben-Gurion University
The OSP, also known as Ginsburg-Ingerman Overseas Student Program at Ben-Gurion University of Negev (BGU) is providing a new credited-course of academic research internship. This course aims to offer a framework for assigning students from diverse academic backgrounds to conduct their internship not just within BGU but also outside of the university.
The course will be handled by the Academic coordinator of the Ginsburg-Ingerman Overseas Student Program and professional supervisors. With this program, students can get a chance to work in academic program and experience actual work conditions in a distinct set up. The course also provides the opportunity to work electively with excellent colleagues.
Academic internship program at BGU is credit-bearing experimental learning opportunities intended to bridge your career goals and studies. It combines practical research and hands-on experience to help students to apply classroom learning in professional settings.
Students of academic internship can also explore their career interests, engage in research relevant to their potential career field, build professional networks and develop the experience and skills they need to launch their career.
Academic internship program serves all majors, and students intern in a huge range of industry and community settings. The BGU staff will work with their students to facilitate a successful application and internship experience.
Interns may contribute to some or all of the following responsibilities:
- Review Literature
- Collect information on topics related to the subject area
- Undertake research in a certain subject area
- Organize data and documents
- Participate and guide in on-going research projects
The students must register through the Overseas Student Program. Additional requirements are needed upon a meeting with prominent supervisors who may hold professional or academic qualifications.
The length of the academic internship program ranges from three, six or twelve following the BGU academic year, starting in October, January, April or July. Students need to complete the application form via online. They also need to submit one academic recommendation letter, digital photograph, official copy of their transcript of study and personal statement letter.

Students of academic internship program at BGU don’t need to worry about their tuition fees and other expenses. The university is always providing a cheap educational fee and other bonuses to help their students.
Application Fee: $50/€40
On-campus Housing: $400 /€300 per month
Administrative Fee: $500/€375
Full Access Student Card: $125/€95 up to 6 months
$250/€190 up to one year
