Advance epidemiology and preventive medicine at Tel Aviv university

The Advanced Epidemiology and preventive medicine summer program provides intensive courses on multiple topics. Majority of the courses last for one week and students are free to attend a maximum of two courses every week.
The courses are as extensive as those given in the regular academic term. These courses will be taught in English by prominent faculty from Johns Hopkins University, Tel Aviv University, Harvard University, University of Maryland, University of British Columbia and other institutions.
Students will be placed in our renovated and fully furnished single or shared room dorms located on campus, if they preferred. Every suite includes an air conditioner, wireless internet, cable TV, a bathroom and a kitchenette. Dorms also feature 24-hour security and supportive resident counsellors.
To meet the needs of every student, Advanced Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine provides various courses such as Cardiovascular Epidemiology, Exposure Assessment for Environmental Epidemiology, Critical Review of Epidemiologic Literature and Translational Epidemiology and Food Security and Public Health. All of these courses have two credits.
The program also provides development and evaluation of vaccines. This is a 2-week course with 4 credits.
The Advanced Epidemiology and preventive Medicine is open to all applicants as long as they meet the following requirements:
- Qualified graduate and undergraduate students
- Students studying for a master’s degree in epidemiology or public health
- Medical students and others with a special interest in epidemiology and preventive medicine
- Nurses and physicians interested in enhancing advanced skills in preventive medicine and epidemiology
Admission is on a systematic basis and places are limited. All applications must be accompanied by non-refundable $60 application fee.
